Katrathu Thamizh (Thamizh M.A.) - Tamil Movie Review

Kattradhu Tamil – Invigorating theme goes spiritless

Jeeva never seems to fade away from his passion towards acting and its more evident, with his enthralling performance in this flick. Furthermore, it looks like he has worked hard more than he had done for his previous movies like Raam and E. Much equivalent to the performance of Jeeva is spellbinding directorial by Raam. Well, I am sure you would find the traces of veteran director Balu Mahendra on the screen both in cinematography and narration of script. Well lets take a glimpse on what Kattradhu Tamizh is all about?

As mentioned earlier, Jeeva has given stupendous performance in this flick and its feather in his cap. Looking more comfortable with his looks, he suits for all different get-ups and that’s so great of him. One of the most enchanting acting could be noticed in a scene where he continuously recites lyrical lines of Tamil sonnet. Speaking about Anjali, she has done justice to her role and we can say it’s a commendable job from her. Director Azhagam Perumal steals the show though he appears for a short time on the screen with his linguistic accent. Anjali’s performance and looks reminds us of heroines who used to appear in Balu Mahendra’s films.

On the tracks of technical aspects, it’s Kathir who has given a visual fiesta to the audience. Yuvan’s musical score doesn’t have anything special to do with film’s enhancement. None of the songs seems to withstand in audiences’ heart and that’s same with background musical score too.

Attempting to make his reflections glued on the screen, Director Raam has blended some of his real life incidents along with Robert Zemeck’s Forrest Gump. All that I would comment on his direction is that his job is not praiseworthy. Few scenes in the film are more unsuitable for those who enter theatres with an idea of watching an entertaining movie.

A kind advice to Director Ram is please make movies that is either entertaining or exceptional that gets sustained among masses.
