Macchakaran – Doesn’t sound good
Well, Kalvanin Kadhali was somewhat a good presentation from Tamilvannan. But please don’t entrust yourselves and come out this flick. If you wanna watch a movie that is made without any intentions, lay yourselves sitting before the screens.
Macchakaran - certainly the title may give you all have a tiny jolt that this film revolves around a lucky person. If that’s your guess and I am terribly sorry. Macchakaran is about an unlucky person named Vicky (Jeevan) who is prone to a vexed life right from his childhood. Strained in all direction his only amenity comes through Shivani (Kamma) who defenses him from all problems.
Friendly relationships bouts out into love affair as Shivani become more concerned about Vicky. Shiyani’s elder brother who happens to be a police officer comes to know about the relationship. But that doesn’t seem to be great hurdles for their relationship for both the families agree for their betrothal. With both Vicky and Shiyani in cherished moods, get shocked when Vicky’s father opposes this marriage from taking place. Both of them get separated and things become complicated when Shiyani is missing. Pushed behind the bars, Vicky is taken into task by Shiyani’s brother. But its more shocking for Vicky when he comes to know that its her brother and father who have hidden Shiyani. Rest of the story is all about how Vicky sets out to get united with his ladylove.
The one and only convincing thing in this movie is the performance of Jeevan, but that’s upto some extent. Director Tamizhvannan came with a moderate effort in his first movie Kalvanin Kadhali, but this flick proves of his disability to make a good movie. Despites having glamour looks, Kamna doesn’t come up with good performance. Be it an emotional or romantic scene, she hasn’t shown any concern to emote. Yuvan Shankar Raja has yet come up with other set of songs that aren’t properly tuned. Well, there isn’t much to comment on the technical aspects of the movie for they aren’t to the expected level. Santhanam along with Viya Puri comes up with the same pattern of comedy and it would be nice if they try something different.
As a whole, Macchakaaran is a great disappointment for all who expected that this movie would be a great movie.
