Uma Thurman used to clash with ex-husband Ethan Hawke over her desire to be a working mother. The Kill Bill actress, who has two children, nine- year - old Maya and six -year - old Roan, with the actor, was determined to have a career as well as a family, but Ethan told her it was impossible The Newyork york based star said,”He claimed I could n’t be a full time mother and actress and I always insisted I could . But I could’t really try to give all of myself. I wouldn’t even read a script that was’t shooting in Newyork because I needed to be home”. Uma eventually split ftrom Ethan in 2003 and filed for divorce in 2004. She is now reportedely engaged to banker Arpad Bussan, But admits the dating game can be hard work. The blonde beauty, who plays a relationship counsellor in her new film The Accidental husband said, ” It seems like the entire culture has changed. People don’t want to meet people in a bar. I also think thar anybody you meet in a bar should stay in a bar. It’s so hard for people to make contacts these days, especially if you’re a mature grown -up, who cares what happens in your relationship and isn’t just out for a spring-break type fling.”
