Krazzy 4 may not exactly have a lineup of stars who set your pulse racing, but it has certainly got people talking within the industry.
The comedy, produced by Rakesh Roshan, directed by Raja Sen (assisstant to Roshan on Koi Mil Gaya), stars Irrfan Khan, Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav and Juhi Chawla. And of course, highlights of the film are in the form of Rakhi Sawant, Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, all doing an ‘item’ song each.
The makers of the film are understandably very touchy about the project, keeping a tight control on almost every aspect of the film. However, despite their best efforts, the much-talked-about SRK song has made it to cyber space. The song shows SRK, dressed as an urban cowboy, with a ponytail and a blazing red shirt. What’s more, a mail was circulated recently among media professionals, with screenshots of the video, and a press release to boot!
Rakesh Roshan and T-series’ (they have the audio rights) publicity managers quickly swung into action, declaring the ‘information’ to be ‘incorrect’. But this was not before the images and indeed the video had made it to a number of websites. Clearly the damage had been done.
When contacted, a T-Series spokesperson declared they had not ‘officially’ released any images, and promised to release the official promotional stills soon. This was reiterated by Rakesh Roshan’s office as well.
While we have refrained form publishing the videos or the images because of the legal implications, a quick search on the web revealed, Krazzy 4’s secret weapon is not really a secret anymore.
Curiosity about SRK’s item song is understandably high, especially since it would be his second ‘item’ song after Kaal, where he has not featured in the film itself. The song is being choreographed by Ahmed Khan, of Welcome and Salaam Namaste fame, and is already garnering ‘attention’ for having overshot its budget, at Rs 2.5 crore.
