George Clooney broke his Oscar bachelor status by taking his girl friend to Sunday’s ceremony. The 46-year-old actor, who was nominated for the Best Actor award for Michael Clayton, arrived at the prestigious Los Angeles ceremony with his girl friend of seven months Sarah Larson. A source said, “Sarah really wanted to go to the Oscars and begged George to take her.George broke the rule of a life time and finally agreed.Sarah was the perfect Companion and everyone agreed they made a lovely couple”.George, who eventually lost out on the award to There Will Be Blood star Daniel Day-Lewis, revealed he helped the former cocktail waitress to prepare for the prestigious event. He joked, “I helped her curl her hair before we came here.”Referring to Sarah’s heavily– beaded turquoise Valentino dress, George quipped,”It’s all my hardwork.I’m a seamster. I sewed all the beads on myself.”
