We had earlier reported that the audio launch of Kamal Hassan’s magnum opus Dashaavataram will take place on April 10, 2008. Now, it looks like the launch of the film has been further delayed by two weeks. It will now take place on April 25. The reason for the postponement is not yet known.

Dashaavataram sees Kamal Hassan doing 10 roles for the first time in his acting career, with Asin and Mallika Sherawat as the female leads. Produced by Oscar Movies’ V Ravichandran, the film is directed by KS Ravikumar and has music by Bollywood’s hot composer Himesh Reshammiya.

Hollywood star Jackie Chan will be the chief guest for the function. In addition to Chan, many other superstars from Indian cinema including Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are expected to take part in the grand function.
