Ore Kadal has earned accolades for its stars, Mammootty and Meera Jasmine, in the prestigious Amritha Film awards announced last week.
While Lal Jose’s Arabikkatha bagged the best film award, a special award for Dhakshinamoorthy’s contribution to Malayalam cinema also was given.
The award for the best director goes to Shyam Prasad for Ore Kadal.

Ramya Krishnan (supporting actress – Ore Kadal)
Sreenivasan (best screenplay – Katha Parayumpol )
Ouseppachan (best music director – Ore Kadal)
Anil Panachooran (Best lyricist – Arabikatha, Katha Parayumpol)
Dr. K.J. Yesudas (best playback singer – Arabikatha)
Shwetha (best playback singer – Vinodayathra, Ore Kadal)
M.J. Raadhakrishnan (best cinematography – Naalu Pennungal, Thakarachenda, Thaniye)
Beena Paul (best editing – Kaiyoppu)
Gireesh Menon (best art direction – Nadiya Kollapeta Rathri)
Pattanam Rasheed (best makeup – Paradesi)
S.B. Satheesh (best costumes – Naalu Pennungal, Big B)
The awards were finalized by a panel in accordance with SMSs from the viewers of Amritha TV channel.
