When Himesh Reshammiya throws his weight around, he makes sure he has his way. According to a Mumbai tabloid, Himesh was asked to do a lovemaking scene in Pooja Bhatt’s next film Kajra Re. However Himesh just refused to shoot it and even refused to give any reason for it. The newspaper quoted scriptwriter Shagufta Rafique saying that there was nothing wrong with the scene.
To be shot in Lahore, Morocco and Europe, Kajra Re is apparently inspired from a real-life story of a pre-Independence era lawyer who falls in love with a Moroccan girl.
While everything seems to be going fine, till the day the girl disappears. Not the one to give up, the lawyer tracks her down to a red light district in Lahore.
The scene was where Himesh takes the girl to a hotel after finding her.
While Shagufta sounded a little miffed with Himesh, Mahesh Bhatt who has co-scripted the film didn’t seem to mind. Mahesh Bhatt was quoted by the newspaper as having said, “He definitely had a point hence we agreed with him.”
It is common for Indian actos to refuse lovemaking scenes (remember Ash even refused to kiss on screen for Mistress of Spices at her earlier stage). But now its diffrent desperate Ash who always likes to cavort and dress down! by putting his foot down Himesh following footsteps of bollywood loverboy Salman Khan, becomes one of the second Indian actors to turn down such an indecent offer.
