Kadhaparayumbol to remake in Bollywood

Debutante director M. Mohanan’s Katha Parayumbol is really going places. The film, which had

Sreenivasan in the lead role and Mammootty playing a key role too as a superstar, was liked by

most folks in Kerala. And now the Tamil version of the film, tentatively titled Kuselan, has already kicked off its shoot

and the recent pooja ceremony for Kuselan was conducted at A.V.M.Studios. The film, to be produced by

K.Balachander and directed by P.Vasu will have Rajnikanth in the role played by Mammootty in the

Malayalam version, while Pasupathy will play Sreenivasan’s role.

The latest buzz is that the film is going to be remade in Bollywood too. The Hindi version, titled Billoo Barber, is

reportedly to be produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and will have Shah Rukh playing the role played by Mammootty in Malayalam. It would be Irfan Khan who would don the role played by Sreenivasan, while Kareena Kapoor will be chosen to play the lead opposite any of the two.
