Mohanlal’s new venture ‘Madambi’ will kick off its shoot by the end of next week.

The movie scripted and directed by B Unnikrishanan will feature Lal as a private financier Gopalakrishanan while Kavya will be seen pairing with Lal for the first time, on screen.

She will potray a role of a manager from new generation bank, who plans to open a new branch at the village.

Also in the cast are Sreenivasan, Jaysuriya, Jagathy, Siddhique and Saikumar.

The music  will be handled by M Jayachandran who will set the tunes to lyrics by Anil Panachooran and Vayalar Sharath.
