Son of noted director Bharthiraja, Manoj who tried hard to carve a niche for himself in acting department went into oblivion
featuring in insipid forgetful films like Tajmahal, Alli Arjuna, Varushumellam Vasantham etc.
His father who has shaped many artist career altered all his hopes to succeed his son in the industry. It was unfortunate that Manoj could not reach the pinnacle competing with rest of stars.
His acting career having come to an end with just some D-grade films, the father changed the track again in buliding a new block to rehash as assistant director and now, the buzz says, Manoj has rubbed shoulders with Shankar to assist him in direction.
After conducting a personal interview, Shankar has now given green signal for Manoj to work for ‘Robot’.
This has made Manoj claim that it is a victory for his capability and after ‘Robot’ he will direct a new film.
