The shooting of Khaki by debutant Bibin Prabhakar, former assistant to Shaji Kailas and Padmakumar is fast progressing in Kozhikode. Prithviraj will be donning the role of cop sharing his screen chemistry with seasoned actor Mukesh in the lead.
The film is about the bonding between the two brothers and their problems narrated in a funny manner. As per nursed for Prithvi’s role, the khaki uniform is something he has to wear to ensure a comfortable life for his family, but for Mukesh on the other hand, takes the same job as an opportunity to serve society.
The movie’s inauguration was vieled by I G Sreekrishna Moorthy which was recently held at the Maharani Hotel in Kozhikode.
Manasa, daughter of yesteryear actress Kanakadurga and Meera Vasudev are the two leading ladies of the film. Manasa enacts the role of a tv journalist and Meera plays Prithvi’s wife.
Other casts include Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Sudheesh, Janardhanan, Mamookoya and many others. The film has script by T A Shahid. Deepak Dev composes music for the songs penned by Girish Puthencherry. Salu George wields camera for the film.
The film produced by Valiyaveettil Siraj under the banner of Valiya Movie International is expected to release by May 2008.
