Director Jaiprakash Mehta is now making a movie on international flesh trade.
Manisha Koirala was part of Mehta’s film Market which was about a young girl who was forced into prostitution by her older husband. Mehta’s next film, titled ‘International Market’, will focus on sex trafficking racket that runs through many countries.
Mehta wants Manisha Koirala to play the lead role in the film.
The movie’s story will be about married women who are sucked into the international sex racket against their will. The story is inspired from a real-life tale of a woman who was forced into sex trade and sold to a man in Dubai. From there she moved from Oman and then to Bangkok. Mehta came to know about this woman from a media report. He has now incorporated the same story into the film’s script.
Since it is a female-centric subject, Jaiprakash Mehta is in talks with a number of actresses for supporting roles.
But it remains to be seen if Manisha, who has been missing from the Bollywood scene for a while, will give her nod to Mehta.
Manisha is presently working in director Rajatesh Nayar’s film Sirf – Life Looks Greener On The Other Side in which she is paired with Kay Kay Menon.
