In a major move, Chennai based film production house G. V. Films announced the appointment of Nine Winds Media & Entertainment of Mumbai to represent them in the licensing of their catalogue. The company wants to exploit its enormous catalogue over the different formats like Home Video (DVD & VCD), satellite broadcast, IPTV, theatrical, dubbing etc. GV Films possesses an extensive catalogue of films and music in more than one language.

Their significant Tamil catalogue contains among others, acclaimed Mani Rathnam blockbusters like Kamal Haasan’s Nayagan and Rajnikanth’s Dalapathi. They have an additional catalogue of over 700 films in South Indian languages on offer for internet downloads. GV Films also possesses the copyrights to over 15,000 English language films.
