She may be keeping all guessing on whether she is doing Robot or not, but the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says that she wants to work with Tamil superstar Rajnikant.
In an interview when she was asked why she accepted ‘Robot’, Ash said: “I want to work with Rajni sir, yaar. He is phenomenal. Everyone speaks of this experience. I’ll actually go through the experience. It’s very important for me to come away with something from my films since I give so much.”
The film is directed by Shankar , who gave Ash her first break in ‘Jeans’.
“It’s a total Rajni-Shankar styled entertainer. There’s no logic as to why I agreed to do it beyond the urge to work with Rajnikant. Shankar and Rajni sir have approached me for so many films, it’s embarrassing,” Ash added.
Ash also said that she refused Karan Johar ’s Dostana because the quirky situations mentioned in the script wouldn’t have worked.
Johar wanted to cast the Bachchan bahu with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham , but now has roped in Priyanka Chopra for the female lead because Ash refused the role in the film that also has a sizzling number by Bollywood hottie Shilpa Shetty .
“I opted out of ‘Dostana’ because the inter-personal relationships among the three of us made me uncomfortable. Now that Abhishek and I are married, the kind of quirky situations shown in ‘Dostana’, albeit in a comic vein, wouldn’t have worked,” Ash said.
