‘Annan Thampi’ which will be the last release for the Vishu, (April 14 2008), has already fetched more than one third of the money spend on the film, by the minimum guarantee amounts paid by the B and C centers. The movie which is planned for a massive release in 75 centers will be the first ever release for many B and C centers which are releasing the movie for Vishu.
In Malappuram district, the movie will get released in ten centers while even in the Thiruvananthapuram district, the film will make itself available in at least six centers, in the place of usual two releasing centers.
The trades experts are eagerly waiting for the response to this massive release strategy, which was made possible after the restrictions on releases were taken away recently. ‘Annan Thampi’ will feature Mammootty in dual roles, supported by a big cast line which includes Siddhique, Lakshmi Rai, Gopika, Suraj Venjaramoodu , Janardhanan, Urmila Unni and Harishree Ashokan.
