Rajani approaches family court

June - 16 - 2008

Once upon a time beauty queen Rajani is in the news again, but this time for a reason not related to films. After getting married, she bid farewell to the industry. She has now filed a criminal case against her husband and her mother in law in the high court. They have been constantly filing cases against the ex-actress for no rhyme or reason.

Advocate T Gopalkrishna has been seeking an explanation from her mother in law Mullagiri Maremma on this aspect. Recently, she got divorce after filing a physical and mental harassment case against her husband and in-laws. The actress married Praveen 1998 in Hyderabad and she approached the family court on charges of harassment. After her divorce, she and her three children have been surviving on the rent that she got from one of the three flats that she owned.

On flat has been leased out to tenants. The entire problem began when Praveen moved the two apartments on to his mother’s name. A civil case was filed against Rajani recently. While this is in court, Rajani’s in-laws filed a case against her under the SC, ST Atrocities Act. Rajani is a Brahmin while her ex-husband belongs to SC. The high court stayed any criminal proceedings against the ex heroine and issued a notice to the in-laws to explain. Argument in support of Rajani is that the atrocities act cannot be used against her as she married an SC and even gave birth to his children.

  1. murthy Said,

Andhra people are crazy about actors. i think her husbands family must have really trusted her. Entire Problem began after her husband transfered Flats to his mothers name. How can husband move Flats if she owns them? something fishy. how is she able to live in the flats and collect rent if the flats are transferred. where is her husband and children?if Rajani is making marrige commerical then she must be punished as per the law. No one is above the law.
