Prince Maheshbabu, entered the film industry as the heir of Super Star Krishna. His debut film ‘Rajakumarudu’ was a blockbuster. Immediately after that he tasted two failures. Mahesh, who could not be recognised as an artiste, proved that he could perform excellently through ‘Murari’. After that film, Maheshbabu gained the star image with the success of ‘Okkadu’, which proved that he could shake the Box-Office and get it rung in his favour. Later, his films, ‘Arjun and Athadu’ proved the real artiste in him.
However, none of these films satisfied either the Super Star or the fans of Super Star. At this juncture, Maheshbabu gave a blockbuster like ‘Pokiri’ which broke the records of 75-year-old Telugu film industry’s history and made all of the happy. A section of the media claimed that Maheshbabu would be the No. 1 of the Telugu film industry. His fans also hoped that Maheshbabu would be on a success spree from then onwards. However, their hopes fall flat with two successive defeats like ‘Sainikudu and Atithi’. A depressed Maheshbabu did not sign any film immediately and chose to take some gap. Neither his fans nor the audiences nor the film industry had any idea as to which would be Maheshbabu’s next flick.
Though, there was a big talk that Maheshbabu would play hero in Trivikram Srinivas’ direction, which also failed to materialise. The fans of Maheshbabu are of the opinion that Trivikram is very slow in film-making and takes a lot of time to complete a film. Despite that, if the film starts rolling, it would be fine but that also failed to materialise, which made the fans a disappointed lot. According to information available, the film is likely to go sets in the second week of July. But the fans are unsure whether the information is correct or not. Be it a flop or a hit, a hero with an image should involve in some film or the other to keep the fans happy.
