Kuselan’s audio will be released this evening at Le Royal Meridien Hotel, Guindy. The audio will be available in the market from tomorrow (July 1, 2008). It has been heard that Kuselan’s music has fetched a whopping sum of Rs 2.25 crore, the highest price ever paid for a Tamil film audio by a music company. The film’s music is by GV Prakash.
The audio release function will be attended by Rajinikanth, Nayantara, Pasupathy, P Vasu, K Balachander, Vadivelu, Meena, and music director GV Prakash.
In Kuselan, superstar Rajinikanth will feature in three of the five songs. He will be introduced in the film by the song, Cinema…Cinema. This song, featuring about 10 frontline Tamil actors, will laud the effort of each and every artiste involved in filmmaking, right from the lightboys to the actors, directors and fans.
The filming was completed on June 26, 2008. This was the last song to be shot; with 400 real fans of Rajni (instead of junior artistes) at Shanti theatre. The song also contains lines that talk about Rajinikanth: Super star-i thiraiyil parthaal adhirumthaney, maalaigal ellam malai pola kuviyumthaney. It means: the appearance of Superstar (Rajinikanth) on screen will electrify the atmosphere.
The song Om Zaarare is another highlight of the film. It runs for seven minutes and has been sung by Daler Mehndi, Chitra, and Sadhana Sargam. Pasupathy and Meena will be featured in the other two songs.
