Challenging star Darshan is back again to play the role of a cop in the film Arjun produced by distributor Jayanna and his three friends Mohan Kumar, Nagendra and Bhogaraj. The film is directed by Sahuraj Shinde who had earlier directed Snehaana Preethinaa with Darshan.
“Darshan is playing a cop again in this film. But he will be a strict professional only when he wears his dress. Otherwise he is a happy go lucky man. And what makes this film quite different is that the second half of the film has lot of sentimental and action sequences. And now we have completed the entire shooting and dubbing work for the film. We have shot in different locales including shooting two songs of the film in Austria and Germany. And we have also shot some sequences in Bangkok. And another major highlight of the film is the climax sequence which was shot in Dhanushkoti near Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu. Anant Nag will play the role of Darshan’s father in the film. Suman, Ajay and Sharath Lohithashwa play the roles of villains in the film. Hari Krishna has composed some fantastic songs for the film and we are planning an audio release in a big way shortly’ said Shinde.
Arjun is being produced by Jayanna and his co-partners Bhojraj, Mohan Kumar and Nagendra who have all been part of Jayanna films, a leading distribution firm in the state who have distributed a record number of Super hit films like Mungaru Male, Duniya, Nanda Nanditha, Gaja, Indra and many other films.
Darshan added that Arjun will be the hundredth film of action director Ravi Verma who has been a part of the challenging star’s films for many years. He said the producers of the film have been known to him for many years as distributors, but as producers they have shown lot of commitment in making the film in a huge span. He said Tribhuvan master has composed exciting choreography for the film.
Arjun will have Delhi based model Meera Chopra in the leading role. Sanjana has participated in a song sequence of the film, while Ragasiya has done an item number in this film.
Sharath Lohithashwa, Ravi Verma, Thribhuvan were present in the press conference.
Producer Jayanna said that they are planning to release the film on August 15. “It is a sentimental date for us because we have started our distribution office four years ago on the same day’ declared Jayanna who has so far distributed many films featuring Darshan in the leading role.
