Abbas Tyrewala was originally a writer but has shot into the top league with one hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Sanjay Chhel one of Bollywoods biggest scriptwriters is wielding the directorial baton for Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam. So even though Honey Irani’s directorial venture Armaan was not a huge hit at the box-office she plans to start her second film soon.
According to Mid-Day Honey Irani confirmed, “Yes, I am directing a film. But at this stage, I don’t want to spell out any more. The script is in place. But there’s no point talking about stuff beforehand till everything takes shape. Otherwise you know what happens when things don’t happen as desired. I don’t want to make any claims right now.”
Honey Irani was married to Javed Akhtar for many years. When they separated Honey started writing scripts and was considered amongst one of Bollywood’s most successful scriptwriters with Aaina, Lamhe and Darr to her credit.
Honey’s son Farhan Akhtar is already a successful director and her daughter Zoya Akhtar will make her directorial debut with Luck By Chance. But Honey is quite clear that her son Farhan is not acting in her film.
