Wondering on the title? You might guess, these music directors are working together. But your guess is wrong. All four - AR Rahman, Harris Jeyaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja and GV Prakash have come up with excellent tunes in Sakkarakatti, Dhaam Dhoom and Sathyam, Saroja and Kuselan.
First time, the music albums of all the four have been released in the same period. Sure, we are gonna see a healthy competition among these music directors.
The Music Legend AR Rahman composes only one or two albums per year in each language and the first tamil album of 2008 is Sakkarakatti. The Maestro has once again proved his excellence in this peppy album. AR Rahman, was the first person to mix western music with our traditional music and won loads of accolades till date and continues… Back a decade; it was only him, who composes foot-tapping numbers like Oorvasi, Muqabula, No Problem, etc. Now we have lot of new composers, who takes care of the hip-hop department and Rahman deeply focus on Melodies now. He is looking forward to compose more melodies, because melodies stay evergreen in our hearts. In Sakkarakatti, he has come up with six numbers. The album has a variety of songs including melody, folk and hip-hop. One can really feel the energy in all songs, which was felt in Rahman’s initial albums like Bombay, Kadhalan, etc. Normally music composers’ quality of music might decrease as they compose more albums. But when it comes to Rahman, he is always the best. He never compromises in quality, no matter it’s a big or small movie. Rahman has his own standard of music and you guys can feel it.

Harris Jeyaraj, who is no less talented, has completed 25 Successful music albums with Sathyam being the recent one. Harris Jeyaraj has started his career as a music composer back seven years from the movie Minnalae, which was the mega-blockbuster music album. Followed by the success, he has composed series of music albums which topped the music charts. The name Harris Jeyaraj has been fixed for Stylish numbers. Harris always composes stylish songs, which attracts especially the youths. In all his albums, at least one or two numbers would be very peppy. It’s a known fact for all music lovers. Now he has come up with two different albums ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ and ‘Sathyam’. Both the albums are rocking in the audio markets, which have hip-hop and melody numbers. Already the songs are topping the charts and sure these albums will do well.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, the youngest son of Music Maestro Illayaraja is no lesser than his father in music. He has proved himself the best music director by composing more music albums every year with good quality of songs. Last year he has composed the music for Chennai 28 directed by Venkat Prabhu and the album was a block buster. Now with the same team, he has come up with Saroja. He has composed six numbers out of which, one is a complete english number “My Life” with hard instruments used. All the songs are really good and two numbers “Dosth Bada Dosth” and “My Life” are already rocking in all the music stations.

GV Prakash, the youngest music composer of kollywood is none other than AR Rahman’s nephew. He has proved his caliber as a best music composer in Veyil. The song ‘Veyilodu Vilayadi’ has fetched him enough applause. The young talented genius has now composed music for Superstar’s Kuselan. The songs are not like regular superstar kind of songs; GV Prakash has shown some difference and brought a new trend in music.
