Bollywood’s maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is now gearing up to make a film on media. Is he trying to settle the score after the media bashing of his Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag?
Nowadays, blogs create buzz much faster than gossip mills. Same is the case with Ram Gopal Varma’s blog, which created a new buzz three days ago when Ramu announced his next film ‘Rann – A News Story’. The movie will be based on media.
When Madhur Bhandarkar announced his film Fashion , fashion fraternity became apprehensive. And now when ‘Rann’ is announced, media is getting skeptical about Ramu’s intentions. It goes without saying that Ramu will try to come up with a slice-of-life film that exposes the way media manipulates the truth and is in turn manipulated or used as an instrument to make money.
The filmmaker is said to be doing extensive research into the film’s subject.
Rumour has it that RGV is thinking of roping in 15 top class actors for ‘Rann’. This movie is planned on a large scale. It will go on the floors in December.
