Hurley’s fur campaign angers peta

December - 9 - 2008

Actress Elizabeth Hurley has sparked outrage amongst animal rights advocates after signing up as the new face of a fur fashion line.

The Bedazzled star has inked a new contract with Blackglama Furs, and has already shot an ad campaign for the U.S. firm in which she can be seen wearing a real fur wrap.

But the move has infuriated activists at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, with a spokesperson declaring: “Her wardrobe is now as dead as her film career.

“With so many fantastic faux furs available, there is no excuse for wearing real fur.”
