King alias Raja Chandra Pratap Varma (Nag), is the successor of a royal family in Coimbatore. After his father death he took care of the business and living with Aunts and Uncles, at a moment he was shot by Swapna (Mamata Mohandas). Bottu Seenu (Nag) is a rowdy who make settlements and fall in love with Sravani, an aspiring singer and sister of a local goon Gnaneswar (Sri Hari). Rest of the story reveals that who’s behind the murder of King? what’s the link between the King and Bottu Seenu? And why Swapna shot King?
Nagarjuna done three distinctive roles with grace, he looks very stylish and handsome in this film, he kept his image aside and done this film. Hope the present young-stars should follow this. he dances well comparing to his previous films. Trisha looks cute and delivered good performance with two different accents. Styling department should be commended for both Nag and Trisha costumes. Mamata Mohandas looks smart and done justice for her role with negative touch. Sri Hari done very good role with two different shades easily, his character is a big asset for the film, earlier great actors like Ravugopala Rao, Kailkala used to do Dadagiri roles with comedy touch, now Sri Hari also joined this category. From ‘Dhee’ onwards Brahmanandam became the key factor in Srinu Vytla films, this time he appeared as a Music Director named Jaya Surya, this character is the spoof of a tollywood music director who copies tunes from Bollywood and International tracks. Jayaprakash Reddy, Sayaji Shinde, Krishna Bhagawan, Sunil, Geetha are fair in their respective roles. last song with eight heroines should have been presented well.
Srinu Vytla, who believed only on entertainment and coming with routine stories and scenes, this time also he convinced the audience with no story. It’s a big asset to a director to have the grip in comedy, but he should concentrate on the story too. It would be better, if Kona Venkat, Gopi Mohan concentrate more on Story depart ment. Dialogues are adequate. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is not up to the mark, except the title song. Prasad Murella showed the lead pair at his best, Editor Varma should have made the film crisper, and he used some needless effects in first song. Ram-Lakshman action sequences are good in parts, Kamakshi Kala Movies Production values are good.
The film starts in Coimbatore palace and the hero’s sudden murder makes audience most curious and later the scenes with Srihari and Brahmanandam are hilarious. Second half comes up with some twists and entertainment, last song with eight heroines is a good relief. The climax is very light, it should have been dealt better. On the whole, it’s a typical Srinu Vytla film with elements like comedy and entertainment. The film release witnessed huge openings as a public holiday, and the first week business should be huge.
