National award winning actress Priyamani who hails from Bangalore has now been confirmed for the film Raam in which Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar is to play the title role. A ten day schedule has been completed for the film in the first week of February. The shooting for the second schedule of this film will commence from March 9 at Rockline Venkatesh Studios.
Priyamani will be joining the shooting from March 10.
Though Priyamani was approached for the film earlier, she had no necessary dates for the project as was originally planned. Alternatives were then thought off and even Bollywood actress Aditi Sharma was approached. But the song sequence shooting schedule of Puneet’s “Raaj The Showman’ was postponed to the end of March and the shooting schedule of Raam was proponed by twenty days. Priyamani who could not accommodate dates for twenty days continuously was able to allot fifteen days, because she had to go to the shooting of Manirathnam’s bilingual film.
Priyamani has just finished her work for a Telugu film with Balakrishna. Her next Telugu film with Venkatesh will start in May, by which time her work for Kannada film “Raam’ would have been finished. Her work in Manirathnam film is almost complete and any adjustments could be done even while she is working for her first Kannada film.
Anyway Priyamani’s long time desire to work in a Kannada film has now been realised. She really wanted to work with either Puneet or Darshan. Now, with her signing for the film Raam a new chapter in her professional life has begun.
