Guru En Aalu – Nothing but entertainer
Well, for past couple of weeks there weren’t any big releases followed by grand opening of ‘Ayan’. Deliberately, the hungriest shark-like film buffs that yearned for more flicks have something to rejoice. Guru En Aalu happens to be the exact remake of yesteryear Blockbuster ‘Yes Boss’. For a greater surprise, Director Selvah has done a tremendous job by adding more commercial elements with fantabulous comedy tracks. Maddy who made  a strong comeback in Kollywood with his recent blockbuster ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ is up with yet another genre of comedy entertainer.
Let’s take a glimpse over the story….
Guru (Madhavan) is a happy going youngster who is so keen on turning his great dreams of becoming a boss of big concern and of course to lead a lavish life. But, he’s so clear about the fact that only his boss (Abbas) – a ludicrous womanizer can make it happen. As a matter of fact, Guru has to give up with his conscience and do the dirty jobs for his boss that includes even about sacrificing his sweetheart Seema (Mamta Mohandas). Now his mind struggles to decide what he has to take up – Seema or turning to be MD of big concern.
Director Selvah does a blissful job merely by getting Vivek on dominating quotients. Moreover, every character in the film tries to get over with comedy acts including the evil boss Abbas. Mayilsamy and MS Bhaskar on their parts add more to the humorous portions. Uh-huh! The complete second half gets going fantastically with the rib-tickling humor act of Vivek enacting as an aunty. Don’t miss the ‘Oru Koodai’ song spoof well-performed by MS Bhaskar and Vivek. Maddy does a decent job, much particularly before the intermission part where he has to self-convince himself. Mamta Mohandas hasn’t got any arenas to showcase her acting skills while Abbas deserves good credits.
Selva well known for handling any script with lots of entertainment factors carries the film with same results. Musical score by Srikanth Deva is a big disappointment on both the areas of songs as well background score. The songs could’ve been yet more impressive.
On the whole, ‘Guru En Aalu’ is sure to go successful at both multiplexes as well single screens for the commercially spelled entertainment.
KRG making his comeback as producer will really have his sacs filled with enough profits.
