Kal Kisne Dekha – Not a super thriller
It could’ve been a better launch for Jaccky Bhagnani with yet more substantial script. Oops, we’d really wondered what’s actually going on across the show time. Is it a story or a showreel of Jaccky jumping from high altitudes, driving explosive cars and building most complicated gadgets? Almost like North Indian Simbhu indeed. On the pars, Vaishali just appears in short-dresses walks up and down like a cat walk. She has good looks, but that doesn’t mean this has to be the elements in a supernatural thriller.
Kal Kisne Dekha probably could’ve been titled as ‘Kaun Dekhega Kal’. For sure, the film will run house-packed merely with the advance booking quotients and it wouldn’t sustain in markets more than a week.
The film is about a young talented lad wannabe scientist Nihal (Jaccky Bhagnani) joins the best college in Mumbai. This talkative lad with non-stop questioning is first down-treated by his seniors and the girl Meesha (Vaishali) he’s fond off insults him a lot. But his genius quotients much fascinate his professor Verma (Rishi Kapoor) who voluntarily accepts to be his mentor. But things take a vivid turn, when Nihal is bounded to premonitory visions of future that includes Meesha’s life stuck with dangerous situations.
Nihal now runs taking Meesha under his refuge and a beautiful love blossoms between them. Meanwhile, Nihal’s unique gift of foreseeing future spreads across the media channels and they know it; A Boy from Chandigarh can foresee future.
Although it’s a great publicity for this innocent chap, he’s unaware that his most trusted ones is trying to use his gift against him.
Jaccky does a good job with much potentials and he should’ve opted for a better more script than this. On the pars, Vaishali looks pretty well and nothing else you expect from her. Rishi Kapoor on an unexpected role is a challenging attempt by this legend. Rahul Dev is perfect while Ritesh Deshmukh so-called second hero has been completely wasted. Cameos by Sanjay Dutt, Akshay and yet more stars could’ve been much more blissful showcased as these quotients completely goes down effortless.
Musical score by Sajid-Wajid is mediocre with few songs ringing in your eardrums even after the show. Johny’s cinematography is top-notching.
On the whole, ‘Kal Kisne Dekha’ has a meaty script in hand, but the screenwriters have failed to pen a gripping screenplay. Here and there you spot the realms of absurdities vividly and audiences would move out of theatres with unfulfilled entertainment.
