Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starer Love Aaj Kal is ready to release and the promotions started on a full swing with the makers doing a star studded music launch.
The music launch saw the entire cast and crew swooping down to support it.
And riding high on the success of Jab We Met, director Imtiaz Ali is quite upbeat about this film’s music too, which has been composed by Pritam.
“Making music especially with Pritam is one of the most interesting parts of making a movie. We really enjoyed it and it is really difficult to be a critic of your own work I think,” said Ali.
Saif who is dabbling the dual role of the lead actor as well as the producer of the film, is also playing a double role in the film which shows the romance between a boy and a girl in two generations.
Saif, who is playing a Sikh man and also sporting a turban, said since films on Sikhs like Singh is Kinng and others have been shrouded by controversies, he took extra care so that sentiments of the community is not hurt by any means.
“We had visitors on the sets right from the Akali Dal to the president of the Sikh Pant to see the representation of the sardar I played in the film,” saod Saif.
There were serious instructions given to people pretending to be sardars in the film not to smoke cigarettes, they must treat the turban with respect and the way we conducted ourselves in Patiala I am very proud of that and all the sardars watching this film would be too,†added Saif.
But this all committed and dedicated actor-producer is capable of doing some grand mischief on the sets. And his co-star Deepika Padukone confirmed that.
“He is extremely spontaneous, and you have to be always on your toes as a co-star because he would suddenly come up with one wise crack and you need to be very alert all the time,” said Deepika.
