An innocent, talkative young village bumpkin who could do anything for his master – Amitabh Bachchan created a laugh riot with the movie ‘Namak Halal’ (1982). And who could forget Big B’s nonchalant way of dance in the song Pag Ghungroo Bandh Meera Nachi from the movie. The song is the greatest hits of all time, sung by Kishore Kumar.
Now, in 2009, in one of the songs from the upcoming movie Aladin , Big B will be seen donning the same look as in ‘Pag Ghungroo’ song. According to sources, in the song named O Re Sawariya, Amitabh wears a white sherwani and a pink pagdi. The attire is designed by fashion designer Narendra Kumar, who has earlier worked with Big B. In the song, Amitabh, who plays a genie, keeps teasing Ritesh Deshmukh as the latter tries to woo Jacqueline Fernandez.
Director Sujoy Ghosh told a tabloid that Big B’s look wasn’t intended but happened by chance and it shows that how Amitabh Bachchan has influenced the minds that even after so many years, “We actually ended up recreating similar outfits wore by him…â€
Sujoy has given a different look to Big B for the movie. Amitabh will be seen in long hairs till neck for the role as he plays a stylish and loyal genie to his master Ritesh Deshmukh and fulfills all his demands. Former Miss Sri Lanka, Jacqueline Fernandez, will make her Bollywood debut with this movie.
