Reports, though unconfirmed, say that director T.K. Rajeev Kumar has dropped plans for making ‘Breaking News’, the project announced with Mohanlal and Sreenivasan in key roles.
The film was to be based on ‘Komala’, a satirical short story by writer Santhosh Eachikanam, but it’s heard that Rajeev Kumar, on second thoughts has opted not to go on with the project.
‘Breaking News’ was to be produced by Manianpillai Raju under the banner of Manianpillai Raju Productions and was to have in the cast also Mukesh, Biju Menon, Siddique, Innocent, Manianpillai Raju, Sona Nair, Jagadeesh etc. Sharreth was to score the music. It’s now heard that Rajeev Kumar and Manianpillai Raju are likely to go for another project in the near future. Rajeev Kumar’s ‘Seetakalyanam’, which is long pending release, may also make it to the theatres soon.
