Quick Gun Murugan – Don’t miss it, we say
Well, here’s something we heard prior to this film’s release as few hi-profiled personalities watched it. Aamir Khan said, “He had never watched such a mirthful flick with rib-tickling comedy tracks.â€Â More than all, Slumdog Millionaire fame Danny Boyle threw himself into limitless laugh..
So, was it really a real fact or simply for promotion? Maybe, we would’ve perceived to be off that sort until we glimpsed upon the teaser where our Quick Gun Murugan says, “Agar Thum 250Volts electricity Hai, Main Lightening Hoon..â€
Ah! Every film has a reason to watch. But when it’s ‘Quick Gun Murugan’ – Just watch it without any reasoning and you’ll freak out laughing crossing your limits.
If, dad, mom, grandpa and nannies ennobled those cowboy flicks where the hero strikes a bullet that directly hits a table, get propelled towards the fan and then enter villain’s head as the stunning scene. You’ll throw into mirthful moments after watching the modern take on those sequences.
‘QUICK GUN MURUGAN’ has nothing more than this with a typical-yet-funny story about cowboy being a savior of the masses.
This harum-scarum comedy drama is about Quick Gun Murugan (Dr. Rajendra Prasad), a new-fangled cowboy hailing from the backdrops of South India. He has to serve the people by saving them from the clutches of Rice Plate Reddy (Nasser) who employs his henchmen to kidnap women who are holding best recipes for delicious Dosas as he wants to have it. Amidst of this venture, Murugan is stuck with heart swinging between his first love Locket Girl (Anu Menon) and Mango Dolly (Ramba) who loves him.
For a change, this cowboy travels across various ages and places to put down the scoundrels. In simple terms, this film is a conflict between vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
Fine! It’s a creative attempt by filmmaker Shashanka Ghosh who never comes up with a creative conceptualization although most part of the sequences has been lifted from yesteryear superstar films.
Dr. Rajendra Prasad excels with an extraordinary appeal of emoting fantastically. Whatever maybe the situation: a fight sequence, romantic song or a punch dialogue, he sparkles us with extreme laugh riot. Especially watch him in the song ‘I want to make family, with only you Rukmani’: It’s surprisingly funny. It’s a great show by Ramba as she fits the space efficiently. On the pars, Anu Menon does an impressive job while Nasser top-notches with his gestures and dialogue deliveries. Ranvir Shorey makes a good cameo while Vinay Pathak does justice to his role. Raju Sundaram has matured a lot from previous films where he continuously performed dim-witted roles.
On the whole, we’ve got only one thing to advise you – Quick – Run – and watch it we say..
