Toss – Falls short of expectations
This weekend has been the most unexpected twists and turns. Aye! The most expected flicks suppressed your heavily while the unlooked ones just swept on our excitements exceeding your expectations. With 6 releases, this weekend, you should’ve got a brief definition what ‘Good, Bad and Ugly’ means…
So, how about Toss? How to categorize it under ‘Good, Bad And Ugly’. Definitely, it’s not good or bad, but falls under the third category.
On the dot, Toss seems to be carrying through unwanted twists and turns that knocks off your senses to be tossed into pathetic grounds.
Story of Toss goes this way….
‘Toss’ – Jactitates from the very beginning without a gripping narration. Of course, there are some interesting twists and turns, but as they exceed in numbers, you aren’t surprised but feel restless.
Well, here’s the story of TOSS that’s centers around childhood friends making their way back from a jolly-ridden vacation. Things are well between them until they encounter a fortune. Literally, that’s not a sort of fortune, but an unexpected turmoil that will toss their lives.
Now, betrayal becomes order of the day. They start hatching to polish off each other to get hold off jackpot.
First things First!!! All praise to filmmaker Ramesh Khatkar. (He’s the only one who tries to save the ship from sinking)… He comes up with a well crafted screenplay that boasts about fun and enjoyment in first half while everything slightly moves out in disorder post-interval.
Although these portions are filled with certain appreciable panoramas, the climax is something you can point it as ‘Tastelessly showy’…
TOSS has wide range of star-casts, but they don’t hold much prominence to their show. Indeed, most of them are found stumbling down their way. Mahesh Manjrekar seems to be attempting for best that accidentally results as overdosed piece of work. Zakir Hussain enacting the role of cop does come up with interesting parts but that doesn’t merely entertain to greater extent.
Finally, putting ‘Toss’ into box of clear-cut verdict: the film has a decent composition, but Ranjit terribly fails to keep us adhered to screens. It’s mainly due to below average screenplay and confusing characterizations. More than all a very simple and disappointing climax..
If all these elements were diminished, then Toss could’ve survived at its best. As off now, our advice is that it isn’t a worth watching flick.
