Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru – Doesn’t entertain thoroughly

thiru thiru thuru thuruLooks like Satyam Cinemas and Real Images were blindfolded as they came up with brief idea that posing hero and heroine as freaking out in posters will deliver an idea amongst audiences – “Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ is gonna be a fantabulous and trendsetting entertainer flick of season.

Better, the producers could’ve advised Nandini to make this film in Bollywood as audiences over there would perceive these sorts of flicks to be best ones. But how about beating the same bush over herein Kollywood?

Yeah! If this week’s other release ‘Aarumugam’ was a partial remake of Superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Annamalai’ – ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ is lifted from Fazil’s yesteryear ‘Arangetra Velai’.

The film centers on two colleagues: Arjun (Ajmal) and Archana (Rupa) working for an advertisement agency owned by Srinivasan (Mouli). Far-famed for lethargic acts, Arjun doesn’t get a single appreciation from his boss as he’s not punctual. But in contrast, Archana working at front office possesses certain traits completely dissimilar to Arjun. Both of them are always at the other ends and finally, there comes a situation where they have to put together for bringing their boss on winning cards.

It’s all about shooting for a commercial advertisement with a baby model. Now, they’re on the pursuit of it and finally find the apt one. But, the duo is into trouble now as the baby has been actually kidnapped from the parents.

What follows next are the moments with not-so interesting moments with few engrossing parts.

Ajmal can better keep himself adhered to strong and bold roles. He was perfect with his debut show in ‘Anjathey’, but with ‘TN 07 AL 4777’ and ‘Thiru Thuru’, he drops down for a mediocre with no so-appealing film. Nandini has portrayed Rupa in such a way that camera pans up and down depicting her body physique in most part of the film.  Mouli is the only convincing actor with his fluent one-liners entertaining us greatly.

Director Nandini was actually reported to be a gold medalist. But what we expected from her completely differs on the screens now. She should’ve made her debut directorial with a gripping tale and spellbinding narration… But we don’t spot any of these features over here.

Musical score by Manisharma isn’t enchanting. Though the melodic duet ‘Jillunu Veesum Poongatru’ is quite worthy heeding to, the gestures of either Ajmal or Rupa aren’t commendable.

On whole, ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ may be a passable show for elite audiences while for other centres; it would be a waste of money and time as they may term it so.
