Senior Kannada film producer K.Manju is all set to produce Kannada film featuring Mammotty in the lead role. This film is being directed by young Abhay Simha who has already created ripples through his first venture Gubbachchigalu produced by B.Suresha.
The film has been screened in more than twelve international film festivals. Abhay Simha had earlier briefed a story to Mammootty which was much appreciated by the actor. The actor had agreed to work with Abhay Simha in this film. Now, the news is that K.Manju will be the producer of this film.
On Monday, both K.Manju and film director Abhay Simha went to Pollachchi to meet Mammootty and discuss about the modalities of production. Mammotty is presently acting in Malayalam Chattambi Nadu ditected by Shafi. Shafi had earlier directed Tamil film Majaa featuring Vikraman which was produced by Veteran Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh.  Anto is the producer of this film. Mammootty plays the role of Malayali who stays in Karnataka and who can speak in fulent Kannada in the film.  The film unit has engaged an experienced Kannada film associate director Chandrashekar Bandimutt for enabling Mammotty to speak in Kannada.
Though Mammootty has so far not given the exact dates for this film, it is believed that he will act in this film some time early next year. The muhurath of the film will be held in Bangalore.
