Kaminey – Hindi Movie DVD Review

kamineyThe year’s biggest grosser ‘Kaminey’ has now taken its stand on home video released by Moser Baer. The film directed by music director-turned-filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj happened to witness stunning results at box office and as well received more laurels from film critics.

KAMINEY is about a pair of twin brothers, Charlie & Guddu (Shahid Kapoor in dual roles). Charlie lisps while Guddu has a stutter problem. They are as different as chalk and cheese. And they can’t stand the sight of each other.

Till one fateful rainy night, their lives cross. Charlie gets mixed up in a deathly get rich quick scheme, while Guddu realizes that the love of his life, Sweety (Priyanka Chopra), has unwittingly put a price on his head. It’s a dark comic ride there on as the brothers are sucked into a world of drugs, guns and money. Their lives collide head on with the lives of gangsters, rebel soldiers, rogue politicians and crooked cops.

In the middle of this crazy adventure, the brothers have to run to protect themselves, their dreams, their love….

And most importantly, realize that all they have is each other.

DVD Features:

The 2-DVD pack goes inclusive of a free movie DVD enclosed with Kaminey.

The Disc of  ‘Kaminey’ features full length anamorphic representation of film along with deleted scenes, extended climax and alternative beginning, full version of ‘Pehli Baar’ and Making of film.

The deleted scenes include the death of Mikhail – Charlie’s close friend shot dead by Sweety’s brother (Amole Gupta). Alternative opening has the prologue set in backdrops of Angola where the African brothers are involved in hand-in-hand combat. Extended climax has the deleted cuts of shootout drama between 4 gangs at the same place of slum.
