Ewan McGregor has risked landing himself in trouble with authorities after confessing on U.S. TV he once sped away from a police officer when he was pulled over for a Traffic violation.

The Star Wars actor told chat show host Jay Leno he had a close call with authorities, but escaped punishment by fleeing when the Traffic cop’s back was turned.

The Scottish star refuses to reveal further details about his offence or exactly where it occurred, but admits, “I didn’t get a ticket, I ran (sic) away from him! I was on my bike!”
