Aladin – Your Wishes not granted

aladinIf Sujoy Ghosh came up with such cockeyed idea about polishing the classical version of ‘Aladin’, what were the producers actually doing? Were they really active or aware about what’s actually been narrated? Of course, Ram Gopal Varma has precisely mentioned about the tactics of handling producers – Just pretend to be serious and win their choice.

Instead of narrating the story with character’s name, Sujoy Ghosh would’ve just gone ahead marking his story like, Ritesh Deshmukh is being bullied by his friends and hottie Jacqueline offers him a magic lamp. When rubbed we’ve Amitabh Bacchan as the modern day genie called as ‘Genius’ and then there’s a baddie – Ringmaster – Sanjay Dutt.

Apparently, producers should’ve acclaimed – Fantastic Sujoy, you’ve done a great job (just listening to the actors’ name). If such case continues in future, things are gonna be really hard for certain producers for they may really get themselves into pits.

Please don’t ask to narrate you the story again, as it’s almost like beating the same bush over again.

Let’s get it straight with analysis… The superstar or Shehanshah of Bollywood – Amitabh Bacchan has stunned us over his extraordinary performance. It’s really great to witness his energetic invigorations on the screens. As well, he engrosses us with his one line comedy tracks here and there. If Sanjay Dutt’s need is merely for money, then he can go ahead and continue picking every offer he gets. But then, he has been appearing in not so appealing roles in his recent films. Jacqueline Fernandez, the new sensuous missy woos us down and will continue to make a big way in tinsel town.

Musical score by Vishal-Shekar is really bad. Remember this duo’s surpassing music in ‘Om Shanthi Om’. The songs were at its best and now it’s completely disappointing with none of the tunes happening to impress us. Sabu Cyril’s art work is extraordinary and this man has really got himself into a stunning task of raising best sets. The Computer generated graphics are quite appealing, but again it alone doesn’t favor the film’s momentum. Much of the sequences do remind us off various Hollywood movies: Harry Potter and more.

Finally, ‘Aladin’ doesn’t live up to our expectations and producers should really listen to full scripts rather than one-page stories.
