Though not as its previous films, Ayngaran Films seems to have faced moderate results with ‘Peranmai’. But then, according to trade analysts, the film didn’t witness laudable results in overseas. Well, at this point director SP Jananathan was approached by some journalists who said, “The film would’ve been a sure hit, if songs were good enough to listen. Vidhyasagar has failed to keep up the film’s momentumâ€.
But nothing seems to have dashed down Jananathan’s spirit as he says, “Usually audiences of international standards are concerned about the style of background score. But only in our country we’re stuck with merely songs and fail to focus on background score…â€
As a matter of fact, the filmmaker has decided to rope in Vidhyasagar for his next film as well.
