LINDSAY LOHAN’s father has slammed reports he was arrested at the weekend for trying to contact his ex-fiancee.

TMZ.com claimed Michael Lohan was arrested in New York state on Sunday (13Dec09) after calling Erin Muller, who has a standing restraining order against the Mean Girls star’s dad.

He was reportedly charged with criminal contempt of court – but Michael has blasted the claims, insisting the police were not involved with the incident.

He tells RadarOnline.com, “I was not arrested. Erin and I had an argument. She has an ongoing order of protection against me. She called and said I violated it by making a phone call to her. I went down there today and saw the judge and I handled it and that was it.”
