3 Idiots – Classy film of the season
This year hasn’t been such a great time for Bollywood as most of the films badly disappointed us. But, we’ve Mr. Perfectionist coming up with a decorous entertainer. Hats off to Rajkumar Hirani!! Followed by the grand successes of Munnabhai series, the filmmaker sways with yet another fantabulous flick that’s sure to touch everyone’s soul.
Kudos to Chetan Bhagath: the eminent writer has proved off his adeptness with ‘One Night at Call Center’. Well, we’re so elated that his other book ‘3 Mistakes of My Life’ will be soon made into a film.
More than all, the trio Aamir-Madhavan-Sharman Joshi have spelled an extremely blissful performance. This film for those engineering students, for those who suffered conflicting with alpha-Beta-Gama and even for those who hadn’t tasted the real essence of childhood and youthful days due to the pressures exerted by their parents to take up the studies, which actually a guy or gal wouldn’t liked.
Even if you don’t belong to any of these categories, you’ll like this film. Wanna know the reason? Just watch it and experience.
The film opens with two friends (Madhavan and Sharman Joshi) embarking on a pursuit of their lost friend. This journey isn’t a usual journey as it involved lots of scenarios they had unexpected for. Amidst of such tribulations that are bound to a new journey which involves traveling through their memories lane.
It takes us back to their college day and a special friend Rancho (Aamir Khan), who transformed their lives forever. Indeed, his romance with Pia (Kareena Kapoor), and his clash with and oppressive mentor, Viru Sahastrabudhhe (Boman Irani), happens to be the heartiest happiness of these friends.
But one day, Rancho disappears and it’s revealed that these friends are actually on the quest of this guy, who was their savior.
Who was he? Where did he come from? Why did he leave?
The success of ‘3 Idiots’ is not at all a wonder. Incisively, when Aamir has chosen a film, it wouldn’t stray apart from the road of success. The actor and his entire team were into vigorous promotions and the film is worth it.
On narrative aspects, the story, screenplay and dialogues touch your minds, mainly about ‘Stress’, which is really dominating each and everyone at this point. There aren’t any big negative traits, but the penultimate portions look to be slightly mediocre and it could’ve been cut-short.
Madhavan and Sharman Joshi have excelled with their portions and they’re equivalently prominent as Aamir Khan.
The technical aspects are brimmed with finesses. The songs weren’t actually catchy when we heard it over many times, but when viewed on the screens, they turn to be perfect.
Finally, ‘3 Idiots’ scores brownie points on all vistas – narrative and technical. Rajkumar Hirani deserves special mention for his mere technique of adapting a novel and modifying on certain panoramas to suit the tastes of audiences.
