Getting on for a roll call, few actors actually ascribed themselves for a worthy place in 2009.
1. Amitabh Bachchan: He has carved a best part in his career with ‘Aladin’ and ‘Paa’. Recommend this actor for foreign films and he deserves worldwide appreciation now.
2. Aamir Khan: Just glimpse over his eight pack physique and shift it over to his look in ‘3 Idiots’. For sure, you can witness something more like a miracle. Mr. Perfectionist proved off his skillfulness in not merely doing justice to his role, but even taking care of subtitling works.
3. Neil Nithin Mukesh: Let’s not term it as a loose-or-win situation. Neil Nithin Mukesh did his best of outperforming his very previous films. You can precisely spot his matured performance from ADZ-New York-Jail.
4. Ranbir Kapoor: ‘I am there buddies… Be ready for the combat’ – Ranbir Kapoor never uttered these words, but instead proved them with his simplistic acting in all the three films – APKGK, WUS and Rocket Singh.
5. Saif Ali Khan: ‘Here’s the Twist… and a Twist’ – Lagtha Hai Saif deserves this song as it can be compared with his career graph as well. His previous films weren’t such a big hit and he astonished us with his double-act performance.
6. John Abraham: The hunk of Bollywood shed his usual image and strode on with a pragmatic role in ‘New York’. It was a role that can be easily reflected by every individual.
7. Eemran Hashmi: Two films of different genres and roles – Eemran excelled over these various vistas for his involvement and ability to express the emotions well.
8. Irrfan Khan: He deserves a special mention for his naturalistic and touching role in ‘Billu’ and ‘New York’.
9. Manoj Bhajpayee: After a long sabbatical gap of Sathya, Manoj Bhajpayee was back with a bang in ‘Jail’. Unlike Sathya, he never had more talkie portions, but spoke many words through his facial expressions.
