We bring you the list of 8 actors, who offered a substantial support for their films to succeed at box office.
1. Surya: He’s always on the top-of-charts for his rapid accomplishments of every project within short span of time. He completed shooting for three films within 8months of time. It started with his Vaaranam Aayiram (Nov 14, 2008) and this year with ‘Ayan’ and ‘Aadhavan’.
2. Aarya: Now, Aarya’s career can be distinguished into different eras: Pre-Naan Kadavul and Post-Naan Kadavul. The actor transfixed us with his cogently-bounded show. For sure, 2010 will have at least 5 of his films (including Telugu movie ‘Vardu’ and a Malayalam flick) hitting screens.
3. Aadhi: It’s really hard to imagine was it the same Aadhi who spotted like a thick bearded wild-ruffian in ‘Mirugam’. He was completely transformed into a decorous cop with smart looks in ‘Eeram’.
4. Madhavan: He had couple of Tamil releases and Hindi films as well. Maddy can be regarded as the best performer. Indeed, he’s one perfect actor who strives for perfection even it’s a minor characterization just as in ‘Sikandar’.
5. Kamal Haasan: Post-Dasavatharam, expectations mounted everyone that Kamal Haasan would come up with yet more lavish film. But then, he leaped with laurels with a film ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ that was nearly 4 times lesser in budget than ‘Dasavatharam’.
6. Mohan Lal: After a very long time, it was a great thing to notice Mohan Lal making his comeback in Tamil film industry. As most of the film critics stated, it was Mohan Lal who carried the entire film ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ on his shoulders as he had more vitality than Kamal Haasan.
7. ‘Jeyam’ Ravi: For those who thought, ‘Jeyam’ Ravi isn’t capable of performing exceptional roles, he disapproved their beliefs with his over-the-top acting in ‘Peranmai’. It was a different experience watching him in a role that didn’t’ carry the shades of overdosed heroisms, romantic quotients and comedy tracks.
8. Nanda: Actor Nanda dared to attempt for a challenging task of negative role. It’s a wonder indeed! Of course, have we seen any such upcoming actors gearing up with such acts? Actors like him have been giving us hope that the trends in Tamil Cinema has been changing.
