Sarath Kumar’s flight to Bollywood

The academy winners A.R. Rahman and Resul Pookutty seem to have laid a great impact on Sarath Kumar with their Oscar triumph. Sarath Kumar in his recent interview with a leading media channel has mentioned that with such eminent personalities breaking the barriers of cinema, even he should be able to contribute for the transcendence of Tamil Cinema.The actor says, “I have decided to perform some unique roles in future. Followed the grand success of ‘Pazhassi Raja’, many reigning filmmakers of Malayalam film industry have approached me with good roles. I will be sharing screen space with Malayalam superstars in‘Christian Brothers’ while other film features me in the role of wildlife photography.”

Apart from these films, Sarath Kumar has revealed he’ll soon make his Bollywood debut in a film directed by South Indian filmmaker. He has already started shooting for a period film ‘Vidiyal’ directed by Selvaraj that depicts him in dual role of father and son, which is reported to be a period film.
