His name is synonymous with comical entertainers. And he is well on his way in becoming the David Dhawan of Kollywood. We are talking about the bubbly filmmaker Shakti Chidambaram. The director with a string of hits like ‘Ennama Kannu’, Charlie Chaplin’, ‘Maha nadigan’, ‘Englishkaran’ under his belt, is back with ‘ Sanda’, his new venture. The film produced by Paradise Productions has an unseen pair of Sundar C and Nameetha in the lead roles.
“Sanda’ has an interesting plot revolving around the tussle and conflicts between a Mother-in-law and her Son-in-law. While Sundar C plays an aggressive Son-in-law, its Nadiya who is his troubling Mother-in-law. Nadiya, who is known to be very selective in her choice of films, was so impressed with the script, she readily accepted the offer. According to Shakthi Chidambaram, the film will launch Sundar C as a full fledged commercial mass hero.
Another highlight of the film is Vivek’s dual roles of a village nattamai and a city youth. ‘Sanda ‘ is all set to create laughter riots with Shakthi Chidambaram’s Stamp of entertainment all the way in the making.
